We recognize that the land we gather on has been held sacred for thousands of years by Indigenous peoples. This territory is connected to the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and forms part of the ancestral lands and stewardship of the Anishinaabe (including Ojibway), Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples. With humility, we honour the enduring and reciprocal relationship between Indigenous peoples and these lands, waters, and teachings — past, present, and future. We commit to practicing right relationship with the land we now dwell on and with the community members we share it with.
